Falkland Islands Government
Free event.

On 14 June 2015 the Falkland Islands will celebrate with a Public Holiday the gift of liberty inherited from Great Britain being restored by force of British arms in 1982. The Islands were freed from the dark days of Argentine occupation 33 years ago.

On 15 June 2015 the Attorney General of the Falkland Islands, Peter Judge MBE, has invited members of the legal and political community on the Islands to celebrate the continuing importance of the Magna Carta and the architecture of the Common Law within the Falkland Islands jurisdiction (in common with that of the United States of America, the Commonwealth members and the test playing nations).

We will celebrate events 800 years ago and 8000 miles away.
